CAP is the Italian acronym for “Codice Avviamento Postale“.
If you live or develop software in Italy, you have to face with those codes, because they are a part of people real address.
Every software that deals with addresses should, in some way, validate the CAP code or, better, starting from the CAP code, it should fill out the part of the form with the city and the district that are linked to that CAP.
